What are your current leads times for manufacturing and installation?

Manufacturing - We are currently looking at different lead times for different products. Some are currently taking longer then usual due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This is due to suppliers taking longer to deliver hardware and materials to us. Your lead time begins once your order has been processed for manufacture, and has been put through for fabrication. However, please note that these can change depending on quantity. Listed below are our current lead times for our more popular products.

If you have any questions, would like to discuss this further, or would like to know the lead time of a product that is not listed, please don't hesitate to contact us.

  • White uPVC products - 7-15 working days
  • Standard foiled on white uPVC products - 10-15 working days
  • Standard foiled on foiled uPVC products - 15-20 working days
  • Special uPVC foiled colours (i.e. Chartwell Green, Oak, Black etc) - 4-6 weeks
  • Composite doors - 2-3 weeks
  • Aluminium Bi-folds - 4-6 weeks

Installation - Installation does greatly depend on lead times and availability, and differs from customer to customer. Our team will keep you updated on the process of your order, if we know delivery dates for certain products that have been specially ordered (i.e. composite doors, foiled colours), and once your order has been fabricated and is ready to install, one of our team will ring to book an installation date that is convenient for you.

When do I pay? Do I need to pay a deposit?

Some small orders that are supply only can be paid for on collection. Trademen can also speak to one of our Directors if they wish to open an account.

However, public orders, large trade orders and speciality orders (i.e. special foiled colours, Aluminium Bi-folds) will require a deposit. Deposits can vary for each order, but are usually around 20-30%. Although please be aware this can change depending on your total. If you did wish to go ahead with an order, the deposit amount would be throughly discussed before we went ahead with manufacture and fabrication. Public customers would receive a contract stating a total amount, deposit amount and remaining balance. The full amount can be paid upfront if this is preferable, but the remaining balance would not be due until completion.

How can I pay?

BACS payment is preferable, but we also accept cash, cheque and card payments over the phone or in person at our premises on New Cleveland Street.

What is FENSA?

FENSA is a government authorised scheme that monitors building regulation compliance. It covers replacement external windows, doors, roof windows and roof lights. All installers registered with FENSA are assessed regularly. This is to ensure the required standards are continuously maintained. When an installation takes place, it must comply with building regulations and be registered with your local council. Which many people do not realise, is a legal requirement. A FENSA registered installer will make sure any installation meets energy efficiency requirements, complies with building regulations, and will also register the installation through FENSA on your behalf. Ensuring you receive a FENSA certificate, which is essential if you decide to sell your home. As you have proof, for both interested buyers and solicitors, that any installations fully comply with building regulations.

If you would like more information about FENSA, you can visit their website here.
